Check out Flirt from Australia

This is Flirt from Australia; isn't she a beauty? She goes back to my breedings and belongs to my friend James from Australia. If you notice the natural tail; the Australian Standard has changed and they can no longer dock their tails. It really is a lovely tail . . . it has has a natural curve (not a tight curl like a Pug) and is well placed.

If anyone has any questions, please feel free to contact me via email.

  1. Hi, I have a male silky and a female silky puppy. I find it interesting about the tails. Recently, in America, they denounced docking, but AKC still stands by the 'breed standard' that is must be docked. I am hoping that we will one day allow their tales to be natural. Flirt is absolutely beautiful.

  2. Hi Angela,
I finished the first 2 Silkys with natural tails here in the US. With the first one, we were kicked out of the ring several times by the judges for not conforming to the AKC Standard; however he finished with all major points. His sister (the 2nd one) had no problems at all. There are now 4 natural tailed Silkys in the US with AKC Championships--all are from Finland and are children of my Stud Dog--multi ch shalee tawnymist Royal Silk.
